Magenta gallery is happy to present a solo exhibition by Sidsel Tuxen in June 2021.
Sidsel Tuxen, born 1982, graduated as an architect from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2013. She lives and works in Nørrebro, Copenhagen.
Tuxen primarily works with graphics in small editions and unique prints. Based on the same printing plates, she creates serial unique prints, where the compositional possibilities are examined in shape, color, layers and textures.
The works are created in the printing press, where the prints are processed through several workflows. This creates a multi-layered texture in different color compositions in the final unique print. She works with a visual language in which the balance between the controlled and the random is examined.
