From the exhibition HAVEN OF THE LOST SNAKE AND DIVINE BIRD

I work intuitively with compositions in my practice and I love to experiment and play with different materials. I use a lot of found materials like recycled fabric and wood for my artwork.

I often start a new piece with a base and create layers on top of that. Sometimes I have a certain structure in mind, sometimes I start without. I follow my curiosity in the process and love that I never know the outcome until the end.

I get can get excited about colours and I am obsessed with textures. I want my art to be uplifting and bring joy. It might also make me feel connected to an emotion or memory.

Tania is the founder of Magenta gallery and has exhibited in the group shows WOOD WORKS, DESERTED SHORE, HAVEN OF THE LOST SNAKE AND DIVINE BIRD, TRACES and E L S E W H E R E
